Thank goodness for this ice storm. Never thought I’d say that but it’s  brought about an energy not often found in this Pacific NW region…ever…but especially this time of year.
To beat the cabin fever I  walked a dozen desolate blocks to the closest coffee shop, a surprisingly  bustling Tully’s. People were laughing, chatting and sharing wonderful stories. My favorite was told by the elderly couple sharing the table next to me. We all got to hear how they met on an airplane. I got a shot of energy thanks to the unexpected social interaction on this stormy day.

This list of goals for 2012 is straight from (someone else’s) my brain. Couldn’t agree more.
